Independence is central to us here at Rhinegeist. We value our employees & our growing beer community, and cherish the unique, contagious culture we’ve collectively created far more than dollars.
In 2017, we launched our Geist Shares program, which made each Rhinegeist employee an owner of the brewery. This ensures that it will always be the outstanding people who have busted their respective butts to build this place that run the show. We dig that.

As we continue to grow, our goal is to build off the work of our peers, eliminating and diverting waste wherever possible while keeping a local focus. In addition to utilizing mixed recycling options, we divert several waste streams, including but not limited to plastic grain bags, aluminum cans and scrap metal, cardboard, LDPE film, spent grain, and yeast. We also continuously evaluate new opportunities through tracking our waste, energy, and water usage and performing energy and waste audits to identify where they can improve their performance and push the boundaries of sustainability.
