Tell us a little about Truthadelic’s backstory.
With the launch of Truth Bomb as an Imperial West Coast IPA, a space was created for an Imperial Hazy to join the group. We spent much of 2025 brewing experimental Imperial Hazies with the goal of finding a hop combo that best complements the elevated abv called for in these murky monsters. Finally, after several iterations at our innovation brewery, we finally found the combination that we feel best fits an Imperial Hazy IPA.
How does Truthadelic fit into the Truth family (Truth, Juicy Truth, Truth Bomb)?
With Truth and Juicy Truth being standard West Coast and Hazy IPAs, Truthadelic joining Truth Bomb as an Imperial IPA made perfect sense. Truthadelic isn’t just the Imperial version of Juicy Truth, though, and it definitely isn’t the hazy version of Truth Bomb—we tried mixing up combinations of hops for nearly a year to finalize the recipe, which utilizes some of the most beloved hops in all of craft.

Truthadelic is a Hazy Imperial IPA—what makes Truthadelic stand out?
There’s been an explosion of new hop products in recent years, largely fueled by the rising popularity of hazy IPAs. Truthadelic uses both Citra Cryo and Mosaic Cryo, made by utilizing extremely low temperatures to physically extract lupulin from the cone, resulting in a product with a much higher concentration of hop oil than usual. Since hazy IPAs utilizes biotransformation of hop oils (read the Hypnomoth review for more on this), a product with a higher concentration of lupulin results in a beer that’s bursting with the juicy, fruity flavors that define this wildly popular style. Along with these cryogenically extracted hops, Truthadelic also contains Strata, Simcoe, and Motueka, all varietals known to contribute massive citrus and tropical notes to a hazy IPA.
If Truthadelic was a musical instrument, what would it be?
I think Truthadelic would be a tenor sax. It’s smooth, but still bold, and works for almost any occasion, but is used somewhat sparingly.
Appearance: Gold color with plenty of haze and thick, white foam.
Aroma: Hop derived notes of fresh orange juice, juicy grapefruit, and tropical punch.
Taste: Dry with just a hint of bitterness, the fruit flavors dominate and linger pleasantly.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full bodied and juice-like with a pleasant, fruity finish.
Overall: Truthadelic is a hazy Imperial IPA that is loaded with hop-derived notes of freshly squeezed orange juice, zesty grapefruit, and tropical punch. The flavor is dry, with just a hint of balancing bitterness, allowing the fruity flavors to dominate, helping to mask the elevated abv.
