This is a crowdsourced beer! Where did that idea come from, and what parts of this beer were put up for a vote?

Marketing suggested the idea, and everyone loved it. We let people vote on the base style, a specialty malt, and the hops. The people chose an IPA with Cara Red (a specialty malt), hopped with Citra and Mosaic. 

What are the notable characteristics of this beer?

Hops! Citra and Mosaic are two of the most popular hops for good reason. Citra is, as the name suggests, loaded with citrus flavors, like juicy lemon, lime and grapefruit. Mosaic is the perfect complement, with its heavy notes of orange and citrus, plus hints of berry. This beer is loaded with citrus aroma, mostly orange and grapefruit, but has enough of a malt backbone to balance out the bitterness.

What makes you want to drink this beer?

West-coast IPA is still my favorite take on the hoppy style, and this beer hits all those notes that makes me love them. It’s bitter, but balanced, while still being fairly dry. The hops jump from the glass and assault your senses.

Appearance: Light gold with good clarity and a thin, white head.

Aroma: Grapefruit, orange and pine.

Taste: Medium bitterness with low, balancing sweetness. 

Mouthfeel: Dry with a medium body and quick finish.

Overall: A showcase for American hops. Hop forward, with notes of orange and grapefruit, with a medium body and medium bitterness.

What foods would pair well with Streaker?

This beer would be perfect to drink outside while grilling some chicken and veggies.

Ideal glassware for Streaker?

A standard pint glass works, but anything with a slight inward rim would concentrate those hop aromas.
